Ok - so now one of your students has their
very own webpage at your studio site. Let's help them to feel welcome by sending
them a "Welcome!" message.
Your Message Center allows you to send
messages from your studio to the homes of your students. You can go to your
Message Center by clicking on the picture of the answering machine under the
"Messages from Students" heading on your homepage:
Or by simply selecting "Message
Center" from the "Go To" dropdown menu on the top left of your screen:
Whichever method you use, you'll be taken straight to
your Message Center. On this page, you can send messages to and read
messages from your students.
Step 2: Sending the Message
To send a message to your student, you first need to
choose who the message will go to. Ensure "Individual student" is selected,
and then choose the student's name from the dropdown menu. (Our example says
"Jack Sprat", but yours will say the name of your student.)
Now simply scroll down a little, and enter the subject
and message, just as you would for an email.
Click "Send" when you're done:
ZAP! The message will appear instantly on your
student's own webpage, and they will see it the next time they log in.
